What is Neighbourhood Homes?
We build a beautiful multi-page website for an Ottawa home that's listed for sale, at the home's own address (for example, 123maplestreet.homes). Think of it as the listing made better: big photos, room-by-room details, a neighbourhood guide with schools, parks, trails and shops, and maps, all in one link you can share anywhere. Neighbourhood Homes is operated by Local Media Concepts Inc., an Ottawa company.
Does this replace my real estate agent?
No. Your listing agent still sells the house and stays the contact for buyers. Every page names your agent and brokerage, and all buyer enquiries go to them. We're not a brokerage and we don't represent buyers or sellers.
How much does it cost?
A one-time fee of $50 for a .homes address or $60 for a .ca address, in Canadian dollars. The price you see at checkout is the final price.
Will I ever be billed again?
No. It's a one-time payment with no subscription and no renewals billed, ever. We never renew the address at your cost.
How do I pay? Is it safe?
You pay on your own phone through secure Stripe checkout, the same payment service used by millions of businesses. We never see or store your full card number. You never need to hand your card to anyone.
Someone knocked on my door with an iPad. Is this legitimate?
Yes. A member of our team may visit to show you your home's site, already built. You're never under any obligation. If you'd like to check before buying, email [email protected] or call (613) 297-2093.
How soon will my site be live?
Usually within a day of payment. We register the address and host the site; there's nothing for you to set up.
Who owns the web address?
Local Media Concepts Inc. registers the address in its own name and pays for the hosting. That's what lets us promise you'll never be billed for a renewal. Whether we keep the address after your home sells is our choice.
How long does the site stay online?
While your home is for sale, and for a period after it sells.
Where do the photos come from?
Your site uses your listing's facts and photos, credited to the brokerage. If a photo is virtually staged, it's always labelled. We take the site down if your agent or brokerage asks.
What will I see on my card statement?
The charge appears as NBHD.HOMES* followed by the start of your street address, for example NBHD.HOMES* 2110HONEYW.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. You get a full refund if you ask within 10 days of paying, for any reason. Email [email protected] with your receipt number. See our refund policy for the details.
